2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry details — your name, email address, telephone number, and whatever you tell us about your property and project when you email us, call us, message us on WhatsApp, or complete a form on this site.
- Project information — where we go on to work with you, this may include your address, drawings, photographs of your property, correspondence and payment details.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, and the site or advert that referred you.

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, with:
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4, which measures website usage.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — the Meta Pixel, which measures the performance of our advertising and allows us to reach relevant audiences.
- Our hosting provider, which stores this website and its server logs.
- Subcontractors, suppliers and consultants engaged on your project, and only to the extent they need the information to carry out their work.
- Authorities such as Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, Nakheel or your community developer, where a permit or No Objection Certificate is required for your works.
- Professional advisers such as our accountants, insurers and lawyers.
- Regulators or law enforcement, where we are required to do so by law.
5. Transfers outside the UAE
Some of the providers above, in particular Google and Meta, process data on servers located outside the United Arab Emirates. Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with UAE data protection law, including by relying on the contractual protections those providers offer.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become projects — up to 24 months from your last contact with us, so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us.
- Project and financial records — retained for the period required by UAE commercial and tax legislation, and for as long as needed in relation to any warranty, defects liability or potential claim.
- Website analytics data — retained according to the settings of the analytics provider, typically no more than 14 months.
7. Your rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and its implementing regulations, you may:
- request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete data where we no longer have grounds to keep it;
- ask us to restrict or object to how we use it;
- ask us to transfer data you gave us to another provider, where technically feasible;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent; and
- lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

8. Security
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We restrict access to personal data to those in the business who need it, and we require our suppliers to maintain appropriate safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Marketing
If you have enquired about a project we may contact you about that enquiry. We will only send you wider marketing where you have agreed to it, and every marketing message will give you a way to opt out. You can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing info@benstead.ae.
10. WhatsApp
This site offers a WhatsApp link so you can message us directly. Messages you send through WhatsApp are also processed by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. Please do not send us sensitive information through WhatsApp.
11. Children
This website is intended for adults and our services are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
12. Other websites
This site links to third-party sites, including our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
13. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant we will make that clear on this page.
